For over 30 years, Wonderland Daycare Nursery has been providing childcare for children age birth to 5 years.
At our nursery, we believe every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where they can grow in confidence and curiosity.
What truly sets us apart is our dedicated staff, many of whom have been with us for over 15 years, creating a warm, familiar environment where children feel safe and secure and parents feel reassured. This continuity allows us to build strong relationships with every child, understanding their individual needs, personalities, and development. We pride ourselves on creating a home-from-home atmosphere.
Our team brings a wealth of experience and a range of qualifications across early years, and are passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences through play, exploration and supportive guidance.
We work closely with families, building trusted partnerships and are here to support every stage of your childs journey throughout nursery life.
We also know how important nutrition is for growing children. Thats why we provide freshly prepared, home-cooked meals each day offering healthy, balanced food in a comforting, familiar way. We understand that every family is different, so meals are completely optional- parents are always welcome to provide a packed lunch.
We are also fortunate to have a large outdoor garden space, giving children daily opportunities to explore, play and learn in the fresh air.
Dormice
Our baby room is designed to feel calm, nurturing and as close to home as possible. We care for up to 9 babies at a time and our qualified, experienced team provide a warm, attentive environment where each baby is treated as an individual.
We take time to get to know your child's routine, preferences, and comfort needs, working closely with you to ensure a smooth and reassuring transition into nursery life.
Babies are able to form secure attachments and feel safe with familiar faces each day.
Our baby room offers a gentle balance of care and early development, with activities that support sensory exploration, movement, and early communication, all at your child's own pace.
We also provide a safe and cosy sleep environment, and follow each baby's individual routine for feeding, naps and play
White Rabbits
Our 2-3 year room is a lively, engaging environment where children begin to grow in confidence, independence and curiosity about the world around them.
At this stage, children are developing their communication, social skills, and personalities, and our qualified experienced team are there to support and guide them every step of the way. Through a balance of structured activities and free play, we encourage children to explore, make choices and learn through hands on experience.
We accommodate up to 15 children in this room, supported by our qualified and experienced team, who give your child the attention and encouragement they need, while also helping them build friendships and confidence in a group setting.
Staff support sharing, turn taking and understanding emotions, creating a positive and inclusive environment for all.
Cheshire Cats
Our pre-school room provides a stimulating and supportive environment for up to 21 children where they are prepared for the exciting transition to school.
At this stage, children are developing greater independence, confidence and a love of learning.
Our qualified and experienced team plan activities that build on childrens interests while supporting key areas of development, including early literacy, numeracy, problem solving and social skills.
We encourage children to become confident communicators, independent thinkers, and active learners. Through a mix of structured learning and play based experiences, children are supported to make choices, take on small responsibilities, and develop the skills they need for a smooth transition into school.
A strong focus is placed on school readiness, including listening skills, following instructions, early writing and number recognition, as well as building confidence in group situations.
